If it wasn’t for sanitary purposes, I wouldn’t want to remove the makeup I worked hard applying flawlessly forever. LOL. But it is one of the rules of hygiene and beauty to REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP BEFORE GOING TO BED no matter what happens. Before, I just use water and a soap to remove my makeup and realized that it’s taking me so long to remove all that waterproof goodness of my mascara. That’s why I converted to using makeup remover and yes, it removes makeup so well but I can feel dryness and itchiness after. Luckily, I bought Smith’s Rosebud Salve and thought “Hey, if it’s safe to use as a hand lotion, hair polish, and lip balm, I guess this can be a makeup remover, too?”

This time, curiosity didn’t kill the cat. It works wonderfully as a makeup remover. It makes my face feel so soft and moisturized plus it smells so good! Its main use is lip balm and it makes my lips soft, too! If you don’t know Smith’s Rosebud Salve, it’s a cult favorite and it’s been around since 1892!!! It’s raved by both celebrities and makeup artists because of its versatility and you won’t wonder why the minute you bought this.

It originally comes in a vintage tin can but I find that a little unsanitary dipping my fingers and applying that on my face everyday so I opt for the tube type. They also have this in different variants such as Minted Rose, Strawberry, Mocha Rose, Menthol and Eucalyptus Balm. I got mine for PHP490.00/ $10 in PCX Stores and I’ve been loving mine eversince I got it. It’s not too thick and not too runny! I LOVE IT!
